"I have lost half a stone in my first month and feel a lot better in myself..."
‘I first heard about Crossfit from my dad as i was looking to train again from long term injuries with my back and knee from combat sports I never really lifted weights or ran before just body exercises and sparring so my dad suggested i should come down with my brother and try it out to get my fitness back and back in the ring so still apprehensive with my injury I thought should I shouldn’t I but I did and went down with my dad and brother and was pretty nervous. Later that night at the Crossfit gym I was watching how good everyone’s technique was and strength was in the session before my starter class and some of the guys were half my size, but I was greeted by Tony and Mel and other members and felt so welcome they made me feel at home I did my first WOD which had all these new exercises and running in between them but I got thru it then I remember going home and couldn’t move I felt exhausted but at the same time excited to go back the next day! I told my instructors about my injuries so in no time they got me straight on techniques to strengthen my back and knee which was brilliant all the time I was getting better faster stronger members were helping and pushing me every step of the way and now I have lost half a stone in my first month and feel a lot better in myself I can even run which I could never do! Now if I ever get stuck or need advice there’s always Mel Mike and Tony there to help me in the right direction. Its helped me so much with all my other activities such as wrestling and Thai boxing I now go six nights a week and addicted it’s such a brilliant community to train in and everyone works hard hopefully this year I just keep getting better’.

"Walking into the gym that 1st time was so nerve wracking, but within minutes I was made to feel welcome..."
"I've been a member of CrossFit KSH since mid August 2013. After trying almost every exercise class out there and nothing ever really working for me I was introduced to CrossFit. I admit I was sceptical that an 8 minute exercise could work but decided to give it a go. Walking into that gym that 1st time was so nerve wracking, but within minutes I was made to feel welcome. I was met by my instructor Tony and I watched in awe of the unbelievable fit and toned woman that was working out there. "I'll never be able to do this" I remember saying as I watched the woman lifting weights. The reply that came has stuck in my mind ever since. "Yes you will, you will be throwing these weights around in no time, I promise you." And how right he was. I can't describe how brilliant these sessions are, and the sense if achievement that you get from it. I have lost weight, gained muscle, toned up and most importantly gained confidence in the way I look and feel about myself. Nothing can prepare you for the intense workouts but the encouragement you receive from the instructors Tony, Mel and Kev is second to none, and they won't let you quit. EVERYONE there is friendly, encouraging and proud of you when you finish THAT WOD (workout of the day). We are all there for the same reason and CrossFit is no longer a chore, with that feeling of "Oh God, it's the gym tonight" you actually want to go and believe it or not MISS IT when you can't get there. My greatest achievement is my PB of 80kg deadlift and mastering double unders, something I never dreamed I could do back in August. This New Years Eve I felt amazing putting on a dress and loved receiving the many compliments of "Sharon, you haven't half lost some weight." I've much more to achieve but my new year WILL see me lose another dress size, and will see me lifting heavier each week. I love my CrossFit family, and would encourage anyone to come along and join us, where you will be made to feel so welcome, and most importantly inspired to do what you NEVER dreamed you could. Thanks CrossFitKSH"

"I've always been into trying different types of training like HIIT, plyometrics and functional training. Nothing has pushed me as hard physically and mentally, as CrossFitKSH.
"I've always been into trying different types of training like HIIT, plyometrics and functional training. But nothing has pushed me as hard physically and mentally, as CrossFit.
I kind of knew what to expect as i'd practiced it at other gyms, but none were an actual CrossFit Box so a lot of the moves/ lifts I couldn't work on. The intensity was not something i expected though!
There's always a bit of nerves when you start somewhere new, but the coaches and members are all friendly and you all have something in common from the start, which helps.
I had Fran on my first WOD at CrossFit KSH and it was the first time i'd done RX and it absolutely killed me. Finished last too which really put my fitness into perspective.
I really like the power aspect of CrossFit as it's really easy to measure your progress/PB's (and it doesn't make you want to cry like the WOD's do).
Goals for 2014 are to improve on everything and just keep improving throughout the year."

"I have been training at CrossFit KSH since April 2013 and I've dropped a dress size, toned up and my fitness is the best it's ever been."
"I have been training at CrossFit KSH since April 2013 and I've dropped a dress size, toned up and my fitness is the best it's ever been.
I was a member of chain gym for about 2 years and although I enjoyed the gym I was not getting the results I hoped for... My sister asked me to give CrossFitKSH a try so I went down and was hooked, I was nervous at first but everyone made me feel really welcome and at ease.
The coaches are so supportive and members have now become friends I asked for advice about my eating and was provided with a diet plan to suit me, I lost 7lb in 10 days and my BMI improved dramatically and felt fantastic in myself, I had a beach body that I didn't think I could ever have. I could only ever do press ups on my knees and now I'm smashing press ups.
I've entered into a CrossFit competition in June 2014 and can't wait to join my fellow CrossFitKSH members to push myself and train hard. my advice for people thinking of giving CrossFit a try is just do it, you will not look back and that's me speaking from experience... If I can do it so can you!"
